Emperor Naruhito ascended to the throne on May 1, 2019, officially opening what is called the era of “Reiwa,” or “beautiful harmony.” Our President DJ Trump and first lady Melania Trump have made history with this formal visit-how cool is this...to be allowed handshakes and greetings with the new Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako! How Wonderful of Japan to host, Our 45th President! I have the greatest respect for Japan-I love their culture!
